Election Schedule for the Election of PFUJ Office Bearers

(As per Election Bye-Laws of the PFUJ Constitution)

The election Committee of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists announces schedule for the elections of Federal Executive Council for the term 2011-2012.

· President (one)

· Vice President (Two)

· Secretary General (one)

· Assistant Secretary General (two)

· Treasurer (One)

· Members FEC (17)

¨ The nomination paper shall be received from Feb 19, 2011 to March 04, 2011 till 24:00 hours (midnight)

¨ List of the nominees shall be sent to the General Secretaries of the affiliated Unions on midnight of the March 04, 2011. While after the receiving the nomination papers.

¨ The scrutiny of the nomination papers shall be completed from March 05, 2011 to March 10, 2011.

¨ The list of the nominees after scrutiny shall be sent to the General Secretaries of Uj’s on March 10, 2011.

¨ Representations against the decisions of the Election committee shall be received by the Chairman of of the said committee from up to six days after the completion of scrutiny and the final decisions thereon shall be released to the Press not later than eights days after the completion of the scrutiny (March 11, 2011 to March 16, 2011)

¨ The decisions (if any )on the representations against the E.C. decisions from March 17 to 18, 2011.

¨ The provisional List of the candidates shall be announced on March 18, 2011 at midnight

¨ Withdrawal of the nomination papers shall be valid until 24:00 hours of the first day of the session of the BDM on March 25, 2011.

¨ The final list of the candidates shall be announced on the morning following the day fixed for the withdrawal, on March 26, 2011.

¨ Polling will be held at National Press Club Islamabad on March 27, 2011 between 1000 hours and 1600 hours. (10.00 A.M.) to (04.00 P.M.)
